Sushi Valley Japanese Restaurant Is Hiring Assistant Manager

Business and Work Location: 11- 2121 Trans Canada Hwy E, Kamloops, BC, Canada, V2C 4A6
Terms of Employment: Permanent Position / Full-Time (30-40 hours per week) / Shift
Vacancy: 1
Wage: $27.00 - $53.00 per hour (Depends on Experience)
Benefit: 4% Vacation Pay
Start Date: As soon as possible

Job duties:
• Plan and organize daily operations
• Evaluate daily operations
• Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
• Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits
• Monitor staff performance
• Set staff work schedules
• Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
• Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
• Cost products and services
• Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
• Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
• Participate in marketing plans and implementation

Job Requirement:
• Language of Work: English
• Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years related to hospitality or food and beverage service management, OR equivalent experience
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience
• Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: Responsible Beverage Service Certificate
