Hooper Welding Enterprises Ltd. (H.E.V.I. – Hooper Welding Hamilton Facility) is seeking Quality-control services manager (with specialization in manufacturing of high-end specification-based power generation equipment) for Manufacturing Site located at 405 Eastport Blvd., Hamilton ON L8P 7S3 Canada. There are 2 positions available.

Hours of work are Monday -Thursday 7am – 4pm, and Friday 7am-1pm. Pay is $70/hour. Successful candidates will speak English and have completed college program in a related field (Mechanical Engineering and/or Quality Management). Minimum work experience is 7 years which includes hands on supervisory experience.

Job Description
Main duties are as follows but not limited to:

• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate quality-control-related operations at a manufacturing establishment. Coordination and lead team for ASME Nuclear, Non-nuclear and internal/customer/supplier audits.
• Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet production targets
• Maintaining QC laboratory (i.e., calibration of test equipment’s & pressure gauges)
• Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget
• Direct quality control inspection system and manage various ERP and Integrated Quality Management System (QMS) systems.
• Develop production reporting procedures and generate/review/update/monitor quality manuals and various quality documents which includes but not limited to Inspection Test Plan, SOP(s), Work Instruction & Project Specification Sheets.
• Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines
• Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques.
