We, WestPine Network and Technology Inc., o/a Songo Mall, is looking for a permanent, full-time Web Designer to join our dynamic team!
Position: Web Designer (NOC 21233)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time, Day, Morning, Afternoon
Hourly Wage: $34.00 – 36.00 (30 - 40 hours per week)
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: 32407 Range Road 290, Mountain View County, AB, T4H 4N1
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Plan, design, and develop engaging website layouts for e-commerce and marketing platforms.
• Understand product specifications and work closely with the development team to make designs work cross-browser/device
• Create and optimize graphics, banners, and other digital assets for web use.
• Lead and co-ordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop Website graphics, content, capacity and interactivity
• Write, modify, integrate and test website related code
• Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls
• Maintain, update, and troubleshoot company websites to ensure performance and security.
• Conduct usability testing and improve user interface for better customer experience.
• Optimize websites for mobile responsiveness and SEO performance.
• Stay updated with new design tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility, privacy and security standards in web development practices
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, graphic design or a related field
• At least 1 year of work experience in related field
• Familiarity and understanding in Computer Software/IT
• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
• Client focus, team player, strong organization and effective interpersonal skills
• Great attention to details, dependability, analytical, design skills, and innovation
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
