Wilco Civil Inc located at 7286 Telegraph Trail, Langley, BC, Canada is currently looking for 2 Landscape Supervisors. These are Project based positions, working at various locations in andaround Vancouver and the lower mainland of BC under the direction of a Manager.
The right candidates duties include but are not limited:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of landscape crews (4 or more people per crew). Forexample: maintaining parks, lawns, planter beds, athletic fields and other landscaped areas.
2. Organize the planting and maintenance of trees, gardens, lawns, shrubs and hedges and theconstruction and installation of pavers, kerbs, walkways, retaining walls, fences and decks.
3. Manage communication with the client and public.
4. Implement on the job training with staff and maintain records of any training that occurs.
5. Work with the estimating team for tendering bids on contracts for landscaping and maintenancework.
6. Plan and estimate the materials and labour requirements for individual contracts. Working to a schedule and tracking site progress.
7. Lead the project team on landscaping and methodology, procedures, and practices on anongoing basis, with the project manager.
8. Complete daily maintenance reports and resolve work-related problems.
Experience as a landscape technician. Experience in a landscape supervisory role. These roles canbe combined, in which case a minimum of 3 years is required overall.
A good understanding of the English language is required. These are permanent, full time positions.
Job Type: Full-time at 40 Hours per Week
