Responsibilities
Tasks
• Assist painters in selecting and organizing the correct tools, paints, and materials for each project.
• Prepare walls and surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers before painting.
• Mix paints, varnishes, and sealants as instructed and assist in applying coatings for a smooth, lasting finish.
• Cover and protect furniture, floors, and exposed surfaces using drop cloths and masking materials.
• Help repair cracks and surface damage using fillers such as putty and plaster.
• Purchase and restock paint, brushes, rollers, and other painting supplies as required.
• Follow workplace health and safety rules and use protective equipment at all times.
• Support and collaborate with painters and other construction team members on site.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, tools, and equipment during and after each job.
