La Bella Beauty International Ltd. (dba Mentor Hair Salon) is seeking a Master Hairstylist for their Vancouver location.

Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week). $30 per hour plus tips AND commission on product sales and number of clients served per day. Shifts will be scheduled between 10AM and 6PM daily, as needed. 4% pay in lieu of vacation days.

Job Description

Duties:
• Perform complex and precision haircuts tailored to clients’ facial features, hair type, and preferences;
• Apply advanced hair colouring techniques, including balayage, ombre, highlights, and corrective colour;
• Mix and apply hair or toner formulations to achieve desired shades;
• Conduct specialized treatment such as perming and smoothing;
• Provide consultation to clients to understand their needs and scalp health;
• Offer expert advice on hairstyles, colour, and treatment;
• Train and mentor junior stylists, share techniques and theory, and other industry knowledge;
• Recommend and sell hair products based on client needs;
• Undertake additional training as required;
• Assist with supervising junior stylists, manage scheduling, and client assignment when necessary.

Requirements:
• Must have completed an apprenticeship or college program in hairstyling plus on the job training OR have a minimum of 1 or 2 years of professional experience in the industry if no formal hairstyling training or education;
• English language ability is required.
