JOB DESCRIPTION

Restaurant Assistant Manager [60030]

MAIN DUTIES:

• Assist the Manager with the operations of the establishment and take full charge
in the absence of the Manager
• Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performances and report to the Manager
• Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
• Negotiate and manage client orders and events to ensure deadlines for orders are met
• Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
• Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed
• Resolve any customer complaints
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the establishment.
• Oversee staff training, assist in recruitment as necessary


REQUIREMENTS:

• Secondary school certificate mandatory
• Previous managerial experience and/or related schooling an asset
• Several years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience required
• Must be a good team member with great communication skills.
