We are seeking two Kitchen Helpers to join our team in Powell River, BC.
As a Kitchen Helper, you will assist in the preparation and organization of food items, maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, and support the kitchen staff in various tasks.

Full-time, permanent position; $17.00 per hour; 30-40 hours a week. Standard 6-8 hour shifts for this position.

Job Description

Duties:

- Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling ingredients
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking utensils
- Stock and organize ingredients and supplies
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper storage of perishable items
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a food handling or kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
- Basic English is required;
