RRS Building in Nanaimo, BC is looking for two (2) individuals for the position of Janitor’s at various sites. This position is
full time with 8 hours a day/40 hour a week. As a Janitor, you will be performing all duties described below:

• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers
• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
• Cut grass and tend grounds and plants
• Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact
tradespersons for major repairs
• Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
• May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
• Ensure that security and safety measures are in place in the establishment
• Make sure the trash can space is clean and empty.
• Welcome and direct external contractors such as exterminators, general contractors, technicians, etc. inside the building
• Conduct visual inspections of the premises and report all anomalies to the building manager
• Maintain the maintenance product storage unit and keep the inventory up to date
