Globefish Chinook is looking for a permanent and
full-time cook.
Lead by Koji Washiyama & Masashige Fujii, Globefish is a modern day izakaya (informal Japanese tapas, tavern, and etc) that offers authentic Japanese shareable dishes from traditional sushi and appetizers to modern day speciality rolls. As one of the earliest izakayas to open in Calgary, we strive to provide the best cuts of Japanese fish and uncompromising service.

years of work experience of food preparation in commercial environment

$16.00 - $20.00/hour, 4% vacation pay, Tips/Gratuities,

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and
cook sushi
- Cutting fish for sushi by the proper methods
- Properly make sushi rice
- Handle fish and ingredients for sushi preparation
- Prepare all types of Japanese cuisine besides sushi
- Order food and supplies when needed
- Select fresh and superior ingredients
- Continually check the quality of raw and cooked products
- Maintain and sharpen knives
- Keep up with the latest trends
- Train and motivate kitchen staff
