JOB TITLE:         General Farm Worker (NOC 8431)

LOCATION:       NW 8-14-15 W2 near Sedley, SK Saskatchewan

DETAILS:            Two (2) full time, seasonal positions
Term position for 6 months from 01 May 2020 to 31 October 2020

BENEFITS:         Accommodation is provided by employer.
Employer will provide transportation, as required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • ·       Basic farm knowledge, usually obtained from working on a farm, is required for employment.  This includes knowledge of operating farm equipment and duties related to crop production: seed, spray, fertilize harvest.
  • ·       Must be able to communicate in English
  • ·       No formal completion of secondary school is required.
  • ·       Class 5 driver’s licence is required

WAGE/SALARY: $24/hour

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Operate farm equipment and john Deere monitors, data capture

·       Successfully carry out duties related to seeding, spraying, and harvesting of grain.

·       Maintain and basic repairs of agricultural machinery.

·       General farm duties including cleaning bins, sheds, vehicles, mowing grass, trimming hedges & trees, and other duties as required.
