40 hours per week; 2 days off

Work setting: Residence of the employer where care will be provided

Education: Minimum – Canadian high school or the equivalent

Language: Ability to speak, read and write in English and communicate in an unsupervised setting

Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a care giving home setting

Tasks required include, but are not limited to: assisting with dressing; assisting with grooming and personal hygiene (including bathing and bowel care); providing physical assistance; assisting with meal preparation; assisting with the administration of medications; accompanying elder to any medical appointments; assisting in the daily activities of life; ensuring a safe and healthy environment; showing compassion towards care for elder.
