Skills and Experiences:
- Completion of High school
- Japanese
business manner, etiquette knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- On-the-job training is provided.
- Skills and experiences in skiing and
snowboarding to safely accompany clients on ski and snowboarding tours
considered a desirable asset.
- Other outdoor activity-guiding experience is
an asset.
Language:
- English and
Japanese (must be able to communicate with tourists from Japan)
Others:
Wage System: Annual Averaging – Overtime under this
system is based on an annual target of hours, the details of which are provided
in the attached appendix A. All hours are paid at straight time and once a
year, a review and audit is done of the hours worked. In the event that the annual target of hours
is exceeded, those hours worked in excess of the target are adjusted to pay at
time and a half.
Compensation and benefit:
- $15.75 / hour, 37.5 hrs/week
- 4%Vancation pay payable on gross
earnings
- Travel product discounts (available
through affiliated companies).

Richmond Head Office
- Guiding
is mainly Grater Vancouver area, but may go to Whistler, Okanagan and Victoria
if needed

Duties:
- Transport or
escort individual tourist or tourist groups from Japan
- Ensure reservation for transportation
and accommodations for individual tourists or tour groups from Japan
- Describe points of interest,
answer questions and supply information
- Provide historical and cultural
facts related to the site
- Resolve problems with
itineraries, service and accommodations
- Arrange handling of baggage and
assist check-in and out for clients at hotels, airports.
