Skill Requirements:
● Completion of secondary school is required.
● Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field OR completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting) OR courses in accounting or bookkeeping combined with several years of experience as a financial or accounting clerk are required.

Job Description
Job Duties:
● Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
● Organize and write day-to-day journal entries.
● Assist in financial activities such as preparing payroll cheques and generating invoices.
● Advise senior bookkeeper and finance managers of discrepancies identified to ensure quick resolution.
● Calculate payroll deductions and prepare required tax remittance forms for government agencies to be submitted by the senior team.
● Prepare monthly bills for services provided by outside vendors such as telephone companies, utility companies, etc.
● Learn new internal accounting systems, processes and procedures quickly.
● Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
● Assist senior bookkeeper in producing financial reports to assist management in taking strategic decisions.
● Take on other duties as assigned.
