Position: IT Support Technician (NOC 2281)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (30-40 hours per week), Day, Morning, Afternoon

Hourly Wage: $38.64-40.00 per hour

Expected Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Location: 4310 McLeod Trail SW, Suite 201, Calgary, AB T2G 0A4

We are looking for someone with “go-getter” attitude and intermediate IT support experience. The successful applicant for this position will be required to complete server administration, network setup, break/fix tasks, daily on-site support and computer maintenance for the company and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Inspect and connect new equipment
Configure systems and install/update systems and applications software
Install and configure security software such as firewalls and anti-virus tools
Install, configure and troubleshoot internet connections
Install and configure Windows Servers
Connect computers to wired and wireless local area networks
Test new systems to ensure that they are in working order
Set up and maintain the remote work system and provide support to users
Maintain, repair, troubleshoot and administer local area networks
Perform periodical data backups and recovery operations
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and related software problems
Install circuit boards and peripherals
Keep records of service work and repairs
Position Requirements and Qualifications:

A College diploma or university degree in computer science or a rated field
Several (3-5) years of previous work experience
Extensive knowledge in computer network administration
Ability to troubleshoot, support, and repair software and hardware for desktop and laptop computers
Knowledge of computer hardware and experience troubleshooting hardware failure
Knowledge of installation, configuration, use and troubleshooting techniques of supported versions of various applications
The ability to work in a team environment
A sense of urgency to complete tasks and assignments
