• Unis Technologies(Canada) Ltd is looking for a graphic designer (2D) with at least 2 to 3 years of experience plus years of experience Proficiency in the English language is required and a university degree and-or certificates in this field is also required. Experience in game design is a strong asset. Will be required to develop new and appealing game ideas, experimenting with themes and genres, developing plots, storylines and characters and developing the graphic outlay of the game alongside game developers.

We're looking for a 2D Game Artist/Illustrator who can work in various styles to create graphics suitable for the coin-op amusement game industry in a full-time position. The candidate must be able to take direction and work well in a fast paced environment, as well as, show strong troubleshooting skills and be able to work in an team or independently when required.

Responsibilities

· Demonstrate creativity, adaptability to different game styles and graphic styles (pixel, cartoon, realistic, illustration, etc.)

· Create illustrations and concepts based on project requirements

· Create/Design illustration and graphics for our amusement games

· Be an integral part of the graphic production team and work in close relationship with the other designers

· Create illustrations and concept based on project needs;

· Demonstrate creativity, adaptability to different game and graphic styles (pixel, cartoon, realistic, illustration, etc.);

· Get involved in all levels of the game creation process, from design/optimization to final production

Requirements

· Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

· Talented in illustration and use of colours, light, anatomy and perspective;

· Good knowledge of animation basics;

· Good knowledge of art culture in different areas (movies, comics, games, etc.)

· Video game enthusiast

· Knowledgeable in contemporary media (web, games, comics, film, animation, etc.)

· Open-minded and outward-looking

· Organized and efficient;

· Good critical and artistic sense

· Ability to handle criticism and revisions

· Ability to work unsupervised;

· Able to work under pressure.

· 2 year diploma from a credited educational institution

· Permanent resident status or Canadian citizen
