Native Child and Family Services of Toronto is an Aboriginal, community controlled multi-service agency. Position Summary

We are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to help improve and maintain an ongoing effort with monitoring and interaction of multiple departments technology security best practices developed by the organization. You are also the first line of defense in the event of a breach and will initiate leading appropriate responses to protect the agency’s data systems on-premises, in the cloud and other remote locations.

The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, regular testing and reporting on agency security challenges, discoveries and work the ISIT Department on maintaining and upgrading the security solutions, threat hunting, analysis and remediation.

What we’re looking for:
• 5 years of multi-platform network, security and application experience
• 3 years experience with SIEM, dashboards, computer forensics, Linux or UNIX
• Certified Ethical Hacker
• CompTIA Network+
• CWAPT Certified Penetration Tester
• Programming skills- various
• Cisco Certifications
• Able to produce reports from multiple systems including custom reporting
• Have very good interpersonal skills
• Have very good problem-solving skills

Nice to have:
• Knowledge, certifications, and experience with SDLC, ISO 27K, ITIL, Agile, DevOps
• Experience with Next Generation Anti-Virus products and platforms, beyond just the usual McAfee or similar solutions
• Experience with content management vendors
• Experience with complex Big Three Full-Service Cloud providers
• MS Visio, MS Excel
• PMP
• CISSP
• Certified Reverse Engineering Analyst

Qualifications
• College diploma\University degree or 3 years equivalent work experience with cyber security.
• Very good written and oral communication skills, and strong documentation skills.
• Very good interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.
• Exceptional customer-centric orientation and ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Skilled in working remotely and communicating with a disparate workforce.
• Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
• Highly self-motivated, directed, proactive and responsive with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Demonstrated understanding, and commitment to, integrating the NCFST’s Mission and values in to practice, service and relationships.
• Demonstrated understanding of workplace Health and Safety practices and understanding of an employee’s responsibility under current legislation.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, to maintain effective communication and working relationships, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, tact, sensitivity and build strong internal relationships.
